We all need to have something to look forward to and I am excited that the summer schedule will help motivate you to cook and entertain with friends and family. The month of June starts on the right foot with our new guest Chef Jonas Hagg. His class on June 3rd will feature the art of entertaining and preparing Hors d’oeuvres. Chef Jonas is classically trained from Sweden and the class promises to be not only entertaining but delicious. Following in June we will again feature one of my favorite fish classes on Jun 16th when I’ll prepare the Ginger and Honey crusted Salmon with coconut spinach, Grilled Swordfish with sweet tomato sauce and pine nuts and Snapper with a Crab Meat Sauce. On June 19th, Eric Hemer will present a new wine class “UNDERSTANDING AND ENJOYING WINE” Eric's classes have received raving reviews. Eric is one of the 97 Master Sommeliers in the United States and one of the 158 Master Sommeliers worldwide. Eric is not only a great source of knowledge but is quite the entertainer. If you enjoy wine and great food, be sure to sign up for one of his great classes. On Jul 17th Eric will also feature a fantastic class “SECRETS OF PAIRING FOOD WITH WINE” - a must for anyone wants to expand their knowledge of “Food and Wine” pairing. Ricky Piper, the executive Chef of Casa D’Angelo will again prepare some outstanding food on June 23rd. This time Rick will concentrate his menu on Italian Seafood. Ricky's fish and seafood preparation are some of the best I ever had in the US and this is another class not to miss. Of course July 14th is the Bastille Day Celebration and this year it is a Tuesday night. I am not sure what the menu is going to be yet, but one thing I know for sure is that it is going to be some outstanding “French Food”. Bring some French wine and let’s party the way only the French know how to do it! (By the way, I wish I could celebrate the 4th the same way but baseball is too much to compete with…) Chef Rob will feature his famous Summertime Pies on Jul 18th and the Biscotti class August 1st. For those of you that never took a hands-on class with Chef Rob, you owe it to yourself to try one - I promise that you will love it. Chef Rob is a Certified Executive Pastry Chef, a Certified Hospitality Educator and a Certified Master Baker. Remember our store is open 6 days a week from 10AM to 7PM.
